Summary (AI)
Patch 1.1 for Diggin introduces the ability to toggle automatic abilities like dynamite and drones on and off, with changes saved across runs. Several unlock costs have been adjusted, generally increasing stone requirements while reducing or removing gold and platinum costs. Late-game layers have become tougher with higher health multipliers, and players now start runs with a full Overdrive tank. Damage for many mid- and late-game abilities has been significantly increased, and the Last Ditch Effort triggers earlier at 20% fuel. Additional quality-of-life improvements include experimental controller rumble support, better UI text display, and refined quest and skill-tree information.
Tip: expand all for quick scanning.
- Every automatic ability (dynamite, drones, pickaxes, worms, shockwave...) can now be switched off and back on whenever you want.
- Right-click an ability in the skill tree to toggle it - on controller, press A/X on an owned node.
- Disabled abilities grey out and stop firing until you turn them back on; the game remembers your choices.
- Aftershocks unlock: 20k Stone + 4k Platinum -> 60k Stone + 2k Platinum.
- Bullet Worms unlock: 20k Stone + 3k Gold -> 40k Stone + 1.5k Gold.
- Fever Forever: 4.5k Stone + 1k Platinum -> 15k Stone + 2k Gold.
- Widthering Heights: 7k Stone + 1.2k Gold -> 70k Stone (gold cost removed).
- Late layers are tougher: layer health multipliers for layers 7-11 raised from 50/70/70/80/80 to 75/120/140/180/200. Layers 1-6 unchanged.
- You now start every run with a full Overdrive tank - burst away from the very first block.
- Overfuel and Leftovers now go up to 20 levels each - they get expensive fast, so maxing them is a true late-game goal.
- Last Ditch Effort now kicks in at 20% fuel instead of 5%.
- New: controller rumble (experimental) - feel every block break, explosion and Molenir strike. Works on Steam Deck too.
- Claiming a mission now jumps focus to the next completed one - claim a whole stack with repeated presses.
- The cursor stays hidden while you play on a controller.
- The Worm no longer chews holes in the bedrock wall.
- Text no longer gets clipped in the Quests and Fossils panels (Chinese).
- Story cutscene text now stays inside its text box in every language.
- Long quest progress numbers no longer overlap the reward.
